FBLA's Mission:Life Charity Basketball Game

Every year, FBLA hosts a special "Students vs Teachers" basketball game, with net proceeds benefiting a local charity. This year the charity is F.I.S.H., a local food bank (and so much more. Click here to learn more about F.I.S.H.

If you attend the game, be sure to sign in for the extra credit list - many teachers have agreed to give extra credit to acknowledge your support for this noble cause. Just ask one of the students with a "volunteer" or "officer" shirt.

For extra credit in my classes, sign the back of your ticket stub and show it to me the first time you see me next week (Monday is 5,6,7; Tuesday is 1,2,3; Wednesday is 4,5,6).

Tickets are $5 in advance - several students are selling in the cafeterias. After 2pm the tickets are $7, and will be available at the door.

The location is the Anthony Gym; use the entrance down the hall (like you're going from the bus loop to the gym, passing ROTC and the trophy cases).

Our esteemed principal, Mr Lester, will be coaching the teachers' team. The students' team will be coached by a surprise volunteer. You will probably recognize most of the players on both teams.

Doors open at 6pm, tip-off is at 7pm.

Food, snacks, drinks, RITA'S, and more will be available for purchase in the Commons.

Again, all net proceeds go to help F.I.S.H. Three years ago, we raised $6000 for them so they could buy a generator so during power outages they don't lose thousands of dollars of frozen and refrigerated food. They help a lot of people and families in Piscataway and the immediate area.

Put down the game controllers and come out and support your school and a terrific charity! This is a fun, family-oriented night, so bring 'em all!
